What are Big Weekends?

 

Big Weekends are the evolution of everything we’ve learned from years of running iconic parties at Club Indulge.

For years, we built our reputation on fun, welcoming club nights and spaces where plus-size people could meet, dance, connect and feel part of a community who know exactly what it was like to live in a bigger body and the challenges we face. Those nights created community, confidence, relationships, and a lot of very happy memories.

But the landscape has changed.

​

With rising venue costs, staffing, security, insurance, and the very real financial pressure on both guests and venues (as well as Indulge as a business) traditional one-night club events have become increasingly difficult to run without cutting corners or raising prices beyond what feels fair, so we will no longer be hosting them for the forseeable future.

We also learned something important about our community.

​

Some people come looking for real connection with genuine admirers and like-minded partners. Others simply want a great party. Some guests are neuro-divergent and need time, space, and familiarity to acclimatise and feel comfortable. Others are pure party animals who’ll happily prop up the bar until sunrise. One short, high-intensity club night doesn’t serve all of those needs equally well.

Big Weekends do.

Our weekend packages include your accommodation, meals, and all entertainment. We also have exclusive use of the hotel and pool - so you are free to roam as you want at will! Everything takes place all under one roof, and there's no need to hide in your room! At any point there will be someone in the bar, or the pool, or playing board games, or crafting...a whole host of activities you can join in with!

A weekend format gives everyone the freedom to move at their own pace. You can arrive, settle in, socialise slowly, take breaks, join activities, dress up, dress down, flirt, play, dance, or just chat. There’s room for quiet connection and high-energy partying - without anyone feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Instead of a few crowded hours, Big Weekends offer a richer, more relaxed, more inclusive experience built around confidence, community, and FUN! It means we can welcome anyone from anywhere around the UK and beyond!

But, just like the club nights, they are a use-it or lose-it experience. We have no major funding from other sources, no investors, only our guests keep it going. So if you're thinking 'One day I might try it...' then today is that day! Otherwise tomorrow might be too late...
